Aimee has been in practice since 2003 after receiving her Bachelors in arts degree from St. Xavier University in Chicago and her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. Aimee’s training has included an undergraduate practicum at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in the behavioral health intake department and a master’s level practicum at Mutual Ground, Inc as a sexual assault counselor for children. Ms. Micetic’s work experience includes working with developmentally delayed adults in independent living arrangements through Trinity Services, and a children’s sexual assault therapist at Mutual Ground, Inc. She has been in private practice since 2005 working primarily with children and adolescents and their families and is the only registered play therapist in Will County. Ms. Micetic works with pervasive developmental disorders and autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-injury, trauma related issues and ADHD.
Kathryn Wunsch, MS, LCPC, NCC
Katie has been in practice since 2006. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Iowa and a Masters of Science degree in clinical psychology from Benedictine University, which included bachelor’s level experience in mental health treatment at the University of Iowa Hospital and a master’s level practicum and internship as a sexual assault counselor at Mutual Ground, Inc.
Katie has specialized training in working with children and adolescents, in treating issues related to sexual abuse and domestic violence, and in using client-centered therapy and play therapy. She also has experience working with families, leading therapy groups, and using expressive therapy techniques. Katie has been affiliated with Encouraging Changes Counseling since 2008, working primarily in treating mood and behavioral problems and family issues. Drawing on her background training and resources, Katie works in partnership with clients to define personalized treatment goals and develop an individualized treatment plan which will encourage changes.
Paula Sejut-Dvorak, MA, LPC
Paula received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2002. After working with children in daycare and school settings as a teacher, she returned to school to earn her Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Counseling Psychology in 2006. She completed her internship at Family Counseling Center in Joliet Illinois working with children, adolescents and adults. Paula has experience working with adults and children with developmental disabilities in various environments including schools and vocational settings. She also has experience teaching parenting skills and working in collaboration with parents whose children have special needs.
After spending two years at home with her small children, Paula has returned to practicing counseling at Encouraging Changes Counseling. She believes in giving parents and children the tools that they need to make positive changes in their own lives. When working with adult clients, Paula focuses on using cognitive-behavioral therapy, including mindfulness, to help clients learn to relieve the symptoms of mental illness and move towards mental health.
Joyce Espinosa, MSW, LCSW
Joyce received her Bachelor of Art Degree in Psychology from DePaul University in 2000. After working in a child welfare agency, she returned to school to earn her Master's Degree in Social Work from Aurora University in 2005. She completed her internship at Elgin Mental Health Center. Joyce has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including, schools, hospitals, courts, and social service agencies. In addition, she also has experience working with children with developmental delays through Early Intervention and is credentialed through EI (Early Intervention) as a LCSW and evaluator. Joyce works in collaboration with clients to identify individual treatment goals to encourage changes.
